Interior Designer Laura Keeler Pierce (pronounced “purse”) lived in fourteen different houses before she graduated high school. Each move had an impact on what music was available to her—a move to Connecticut marked her introduction to the radio station Z100 and living in Montreal led to her discovery of her favorite band, Stars.

The launch of a new line of custom furniture is what prompted a visit to the Boiler Room for interior designer Christine Tuttle. But Christine has had an entire career in the art world long before interior design. From running a gallery on Nantucket at the age of 21 to a different type of launch, the famed Four Corners Gallery in Tiverton, Rhode Island, to art appraising, Christine’s origin story is dazzling.

We’ve known Trevor Fulmer before he launched his rug line, but we got to know him better at his launch event in 2024. It felt like a family reunion, meeting his parents and entourage of relatives who were all so proud of him. 

Two years later, we finally were able to get Trevor into the Boiler Room to ask him about his origins in interior design and his boombox story—it’s an amazing one that  involves both Debbie Gibson and something much bigger than something you can fit on your shoulder: a white Toyota Previa.
