We Threw A Holiday Party

We wrapped up the year in community with each other, while also raising money for the Hyde Park Food Pantry. It was a blast; one our best Boiler Room experiences to date.

Our courtyard sponsor and long-time trade partner, Blade of Grass, once again set us up for hosting success with their sprucing up of the planters lining the walk up to our courtyard and Boiler Room entrance. What a great way to get the festive juices flowing with those winter greens.

Inside, we had the lights on low, the live jazz just right, and wheels of cheese melted into oblivion for our first ever Raclette party. It’s a familiar indulgence for Kevin, an avid skier and big fan of this traditional après-ski treat. So when members of our team floated the idea, there was already forward momentum to make it happen.

Everything else fell into place, with a huge boost from our community and our team showing up to enjoy some proper holiday revelry. We were floored with how many people showed up! This included some of our neighbors within walking distance, which allowed us to continue getting to know our community better.

Very special thanks to The Muncey Group, Cumar Marble & Granite, City Feed & Supply for your sponsorships. The Muncey Group, as well as TSP Smart Spaces, and New England Home, donated items for a for the fundraiser. A live jazz trio, care of our own Nate McBride on upright bass, along with Steve Fell on guitar and Seth Meicht on sax, played through the Charlie Brown Christmas playbook and then some. And Chef Chris Austin, along with his wingman Denny, melted pounds of melted cheese on all sorts of delicious cheese-delivery vehicles.

As these amazing moments from photographer Evelyn Dow show, it was a great night. Thank you to everyone who showed up.
