That’s A Wrap: the KCB 2025 BBQ

What started as a one-off gathering celebrating twenty-five years in business has now become an annual BBQ for our KCB community of our trade partners, clients and friends.

Having a DJ, popsicle cart and cornhole at this year’s BBQ helped set the mood, but wow—seeing the KCB community gathered together to close out a great summer was more than we could have imagined. Several trade partners let us know that our BBQ was the first event they’ve attended, even though we’ve been working together for years. Others faced traffic that was bad for even Boston standards. And then a handful of friends and trade partners who we haven’t seen around for a long time made it out. This unstructured time to just eat, drink, and enjoy a gorgeous evening in our home, so to speak, just felt important. 

A lot went into planning the event, including making a KCB BBQ 2025 playlist for DJ "Decent Dan" Abraham of simpleHome—it can be found on Spotify. Our general sponsors, Manolis from Boston Pergola and Scott from Benjamin Moore, helped make sure there was plenty to eat from Blue Ribbon Barbecue. Jill and Tatiana at Discover Tile ensured that we had, yet again, a formal cocktail. This year we went deep with the BBQ theme for a delicious classic bourbon lemonade. And our courtyard has never looked so good with Blade of Grass transforming a space that we always knew had the potential to look that good. Heather even showed up to personally help with the transformation. This is such a gamechanger that will last well after the party.
