The Enclave

Renovation

Winchester, MA

Clean lines, fresh interiors and thoughtful exterior appointments replaced rotted wood and dated design in this Winchester home. Our team revitalized this 2800 square foot modernist enclave. An open-concept first floor, painted Bright White, includes a dining area on a raised platform with book-end bookcases, a minimalist kitchen, and a generously sized living room with a view towards the new blue stone patio. The original solarium was rebuilt for the eating area. The staircase to the second floor feels as though it is floating in air with open space beneath and specialty glass for the railing. Rifted white oak on the stairs uses Dinesen oil finish. Another hallmark of the KCB craftsmanship is the fan design of the staircase landing and lower steps.

“I want to thank Kevin and the entire team at KCB for their professionalism and for providing me with the highest quality architect-designed, award-winning home. This was a very challenging project with many unique construction details and requiring the highest level of skill. KCB handled all aspects of construction expertly from excavation to finish carpentry to landscaping, and at all times maintained a  professional and cordial relationship with the architects and me.  I would highly recommend KCB for any project requiring the highest level of skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail.”
